Tier entries

Each player subscribes a mandatory £30 to the Thrift Tier.  You can then upgrade to a higher tier any time until the day before the tournament: simply transfer the appropriate increment to payment details here, including your name as the reference, and send email confirmation.

Upgrading to a particular Tier automatically subscribes you to all the Tiers below - e.g. a Silver player pays an additional £90 on top of Thrift, making a total of £120; that £120 then goes £30 into the Thrift prize fund, £30 into Bronze, and £60 into Silver.  Note that Tier prize funds are separate from each other: e.g. the winner of a Silver prize in a particular flight will be different from the the same flight's Bronze and Thrift beneficiaries if a player subscribed to those Tiers progresses further.

Side Pools
​All side pools are optional and are separate from each other. You may enter a maximum of two adjacent value pools in any flight. Each pool will be returned 70% to the player (or divided equally between those players) who are in that pool, and who progress furthest in the relevant flight, and 30% (or similarly divided) to the player who progresses second-farthest. Note that pool winners will not necessarily be finalists in their flight.

Subscription(s) for lower flights than you actually play in, will be refunded: e.g. you subscribe to each of the £10 pools for all four flights, get relegated first to Consolation, and then to 2nd Chance, but avoid Last Chance; your £10 Last Chance pool entry will be refunded.

You are strongly encouraged to subscribe to side-pools either when you pay the Tier subscription, or in advance of the tournament.  There will be a very limited time window on the Saturday morning of the tournament to enter side pools.

Settlements
Settlement of all prize winnings and refunds from Tier subscriptions and side-pool entries will be made *only* by bank transfer following completion of the tournament.  Bank details *must* be notified to Tim Spring in writing by email.  Bank details notified in previous years *will not* be reused if email confirmation has not been received.
